November 13, 2010 New York Chef Neil Kleinberg along with wife and co-owner of Clinton St. Baking Company Dede Lahman will be joining forces with HVCC on November 13 at Maneeley's for the first time ever. Come out and watch a live presentation and taste the brunch foods voted "NYC's Best Brunch" by New York Post. Chef Neil is probably most famous for his "fluffiest discs in existence pancakes", which he made in Throwdown! with Bobby Flay. A special thank you to Gallagher Buick of New Britain for the "Hole in One" prizes and to WDRC-FM and Rockville Bank, our 2010 Diamond Sponsors - we couldn't have done it without you! Please Support H.V.C.C. Services

Dear friends of Hockanum Valley Community Council, Inc.;

If you have read a copy of the Compass about our five subsidiaries: Dial-A-Ride, Elder Services, Tri-Town Pantry, Counseling Services, and the Good Cents Thrift Shop., then you know what we do for the communities we serve and how we need your help.

We appreciate your past support of Hockanum Valley Community Council (HVCC). We hope that you will consider the following when deciding whether H.V.C.C. deserves your continued support.

H.V.C.C. has a 39-year history of supporting families in our Tri-Town area where local and state budgets and grants are always being reviewed or revised. We never know exactly where we stand financially. H.V.C.C. has maintained its presence in the communities that we serve. We realize that we must do more. This is the time of year that we go out into the public to ask you for your support in helping our non-profit organization to continue providing these important services.
